final project for 3D

One fold was selected and made into a larger shape. We were not supposed to have an end product in mind, but to let it grow organically.

hand cut type made into experimental typography

This is a little experiment I did in class, not part of course.

1) Letters at 8 and 6 pt, cut from a sentence and re-arranged
2) words enlarged in photocopier (Weingart uses the phrase "and so.." to show you how things should be)
3) Rectangle of type cut into very thin strips
4) Strips of type smashed, photocopied, enlarged and placed with reversed type from photo 2

First Day of 3D class

The assignment is to take one 8cm square of paper and see how many 3D shapes you can make with it. I created shapes a logical, process-oriented way. After 6 hours of working I had 100+ pieces, some where quite interesting.

Weingart's Studio

This is a very quiet and interesting place. My iPhone started taking soft focus pictures which came out pretty nice.
